I am Alina Ehret,

maker and restorer of fine stringed instruments.

I specialise in making fine violins, violas and cellos as well as crafting more folk or baroque inspired instruments and have a passion for decorative head carvings and reliefs.

I love creating instruments that are unique and have a story to tell.

Apart from making I also do repairs, set-ups and sound adjustments.

have a Tim Phillips 5 string violin. Over the last year or so the sound has dropped off, and I took it to Alina where a new bridge and soundpost were fitted and the nut adjusted.
