I am Alina Ehret.

Maker of fine stringed instruments. I particularly focus on building violin family instruments and I have a passion for decorative head carvings and reliefs.

View fullsize Trying new things... Remember this one? I varnished it more than a year ago but suddenly the ground started to sink into the front. It made horrible patches so I decided to give antiquing a go... still in the process but slowly getting there. #violi
View fullsize My new best friend... Quirky but really fun to play! It just needs a lot of playing to settle in and a little bit of patching up where the varnish didn't go shiny despite all efforts. It got played in the graduation celebration with two of my violin
